INNOVA 26" LONGARM MACHINE RENTAL
Take a 2 hour lesson on our Innova long arm machine for $100 and get those quilt tops quilted yourself in no time at all. Rental fee for the machine is $10 per hour. Payment of 1/2 of the rental fee is required when reservation is made.


*CUSTOM MACHINE QUILTING
Shared Threads specializes in quality work for those interested in a unique and distinctive quilted appearance that turns a quilt top into a family heirloom. Review the service rates and preparation of the top and backing listed below and bring the quilt to our shop for an estimate at no charge.

Preparation of Top and Backing for Quilting
1. Trim all threads on quilt top and press.
2. Dimension of backing needs to be 4-6" wider than the top per side. If backing is pieced, remove the selvages before stitching 1/2" seam allowance and press open. If you need backing, we have a great selection of 108" wide backing fabric for sale at the shop.
3. Batting should be the same dimension as the backing.
Trimming threads, pressing, un-pinning or un-basting services are available at $15 per hour.

*Service Rates
PANTOGRAPH OR EDGE-TO-EDGE - continuously running pattern that covers the entire quilt top. Character of designs available range from elegant to whimsical. $0.02 to $0.03 per square inch ($40 minimum).
MEANDER QUILTING - small to large freehand stitching over the entire quilt top. $0.02 to $0.03 per square inch ($40 minimum).
CUSTOM QUILTING - stenciled or marked designs in blocks, sashings and borders includes echoing, stippling, outlining, stitch-in-the-ditch, and grid work. (Stencil must be the property of the customer). $0.035 to $0.05 per square inch ($75) minimum.
HEIRLOOM QUILTING - circles, customized or original designs specific to the quilt top. $0.05 to $0.07 per square inch ($75 minimum).

*Additional Services
ADDING BORDERS - cutting, piecing or attaching. $15/hour
PIECING BACKING OR ADDING BINDING - all work is done by machine. $15/hour.
BATTING - cotton only. No polyester, please. We sell Hobbs Blend 96" wide $8.50/yd or 120" wide $9.50/yard.
THREAD - (supplied by Shared Threads) Solids-$8, Variegated $14, Multiples-$16.


*MACHINE SERVICE AND REPAIRS
We service and repair ALL makes and models of sewing machines and sergers. Having your machine serviced by a certified technician is recommended by the manufacturers every 12 months.

We sharpen all types and sizes of scissors with "same day service." NO knives, please. Price is determined by the length of the scissor.
