To start quilting your quilts, reserve a minimum of (3) hours of time on the machine for $20 per hour. Purchase a quilt set of zippers for your quilt for $30. The thread used on the machine is 40 wt 100% cotton and is provided by Shared Threads for $3 per bobbin. We also sell fabric and batting, if needed.. Quilt tops should be pressed, squared and trimmed of loose threads before loading on the frame. Batting & backing should be at least 4 inches wider per side than the quilt top. Mail or drop a check by the studio for the rental amount, zippers and thread charge prior to the scheduled class. If you miss the scheduled rental, you may reschedule or transfer the time to a friend.
Place the zippers on your quilt sandwich prior to the scheduled time–you are on the clock at the scheduled time and pinning the zippers to the quilt takes a considerable amount of time–so plan ahead.
